Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis to solve issues. Nobody has defined hypnosis conclusively as each session is uniquely designed for the client and each client has their own individual experience.
Some definitions say it’s a sleep like state – it’s definitely not sleep.
A preferred definition is “Hypnosis is state of human consciousness involving focused attention, a reduced peripheral awareness and an enhanced capacity to respond to suggestion”.
Ultimately, it’s an opportunity for you to make lasting change in your life, without too much hard work, by being guided by a hypnotherapist.
By accessing your subconscious mind, we can solve problems that you may not be able to resolve with your every-day conscious mind. You may simply know that you are scared of spiders, for example, but you may not know where the fear came from. But your subconscious mind does know.
To access your subconscious you are safely led into a state of relaxation, deep relaxation can be life changing in itself but most people coming for a session have an issue to solve. In this state of relaxation we can access your subconscious mind to accept suggestions for change.
